“Optimism” for Auckland Art Gallery 2023
Make This are proud to have been commissioned to 3D print these “Optimism” sculptures for NZ artist Simon Denny and Auckland Art Gallery. These 3D printed sculptures are activated by AR and are on display at Auckland Art Gallery for the next year. This was a fun and challenging project to undertake. It required heavily […]
3D Printed UFO!
Presenting our 3D Printed UFO! With any large 3D print project made from multiple parts that must fit together seamlessly, the fitment trial can be nerve wracking. However, this all slotted together perfectly thanks to Jordan’s great CAD skills and our precision heated chamber printers. The main bodies are 3m in diameter and 6m with […]
500kgs of ASA!
At the of last year we undertook our biggest print project ever, 500kgs of ASA material to print two models commissioned by the Auckland Art Gallery – we needed to upgrade our machines to push through as much material as possible – .8 nozzle and .6 layer heights…this was months of printing and assembly and […]
ESD-safe 3D Printed Materials
Our ESD-Safe ABS or PC filament is formulated for a wide array of applications that require electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection and thermal stability. Great for use in Jigs, connectors, enclosures, circuit board conformal masking and computer components. Not all 3D printed ESD materials are made equally, ESD materials should not be too conductive so as […]
Vacuum Casting
Vacuum casting is excellent for low volume manufacturing. This production run of parts were cast in standard Polyurethane. Any Pantone colour toner can be added for specifically required shades. Get in touch to find out more about our selection of materials.

Industrial 3D Printed Enclosures
These industrial 3D Printed Enclosures are designed inhouse. This includes the laser cut parts for automated machinery which we also design in our palmerautomation.nz division.
Pelton Wheel
A Pelton Wheel model printed in SLA format using our Grey Pro material – 100 microns print. This sturdy material is great for functional prototyping and parts that will be handled repeatedly. Get in touch to see what other intricate prints we can do!
Gears!
It is often that we have a Gear to print – either as a trial or replacement machinery part. We can print prototype intricate gears with fine teeth in our SLA format and something more robust for industry using FDM materials like ABS / Polycarbonate / Nylon. This is just a simple ABS part:
NZ Made Industrial 3D Printer – Update
This is the 2nd of our NZ made 3D printers. Standing at 2M tall (6.5 foot) this is probably NZ’s largest heated chamber 3D printer. Our Version 1 printer hasn’t stopped printing for 2 years, producing an incredible amount of work for New Zealand companies. Version 2 features: What does all this do for our […]
